Question about declines

I choose the no deposit, pay at the hotel option. If the price drops, I make another booking and cancel the first. It takes about a minute to monitor the price on a semi-daily basis. Never had an issue. Something to consider but I anticipate that you will likely dismiss this too

except it is fully refundable until today. I checked. And the previous HO is still reviewing. But I have a sit that starts tomorrow evening that works. I just cannot believe that she is still reviewing for a sit that starts tomorrow.

Sometimes you take general discussions as specific to you although they are not.

Sort of looks like this was directed to me. This forum is for suggestions, recommendations. There are groups that agree with some, others who don’t. No need to prove your way is better. We take what works for us, disgard what doesn’t. When I wrote this post, I was not aware there was automatic declines. I found out, so did others who were not aware. I posted that hotel prices were coming down, I wasn’t worried about a last minute booking, yet some people insisted that I should just book a hotel. I ignored that advice. And you have to post how you book hotels. Yay for you. Glad it works for you. We all have our ways.

‘Insisted’ would be inaccuate. Posters were encouraging you (and others who may benefit from forum discussion) to consider options

I wish I could remember who initially posted about rebooking hotel rooms when the price drops. It was a few years ago and I believe it was someone who has stopped posting. I have found it to be a useful tool
