I noticed today that 2 free months would be added to my membership if I refer a friend. I’m fairly certain this was 3 months when I’ve referred people.

I’ve never known it to be more than two months.
We were very lucky to be able to refer 2 new members during the Black Friday week when it was 3 months for referral so we got 6 months added all at once!

What actually happens when I send the link to a fb friend? When they join, does my two months get sent through to my account at that point?
Once someone joins you will see 2 months added to your term of membership, so your renewal date is pushed forward 2 months.
