Hi, I.m new to this so apologies if this has been answered before.
We have two pets and have set up our profile accordingly BUT we sometimes take our dog with us when we holiday. Is there a way of removing the dog from the request for certain stays to be just for a cat sit and not our usual dog and cat sit?
We have a ‘live’ listing at the moment for both pets but I want to list another for later in the year which will just need the cat looking after.
Thanks in advance for any help/advice.
If you are not creating a listing where you are offering multiple dates at once, you could edit the listing to take out the dog, and any info related to him when necessary.
From what I have observed, it seems pretty common for hosts to simply note in the ad that one or more of the animals listed will not be there on X dates.
If you go with the latter option for a single date posting, it would be good to note the absence of the dog right in the listing title. Cat-only sits hold a lot of appeal for many reasons, so having people know this right away is good.
And for people who always want a dog to sit, they will know not to apply.
Agree with option 2, you can just write your listing to say there may be some sits with only one pet and then call out and star at the very top of your welcome section what the need is for the current dates…that way you don’t have to continually rewrite your entire listing each time.
