Whilst i am a HO and not looking to sit at the moment, i have looked at sits ( specifically my village and then Essex) out of interest and was surprised NOT to find my own one nor my friends.
My next sit is covered,but hers isn’t. Surely we should be able to see our own " ads" no matter what our current requirement is.
Can someone explain how it works ftom the sitters point of view ( I do know people have favourited me)

I would have thought you’d have been able to see your friends sit. As sitters, we just enter into the search box and look through the results.
Maybe it is not listed with live dates so would not show up when a sitter searches

I think then it shows at the end of the live listings under ‘not currently looking for a sitter’
