I had a look at your listing and as sitters, we always look for horse listings as we love them! However we are remote workers and it looks like your home does not have access to wifi which might decrease your pool of sitters, but there are sitters that could be retired, on vacation etc and not need wifi. Maybe add what cell network you get there so sitters can use the internet on their phone and know they can get cell reception.
I saw that you posted a last-minute sit, I am not sure when you originally posted your dates, but making sure that you post your dates well in advance can really help.
I can see that you also posted here:
There were suggestions about your listing on this thread and one sitter said they saved your listing for when they are next in the area. Feel free to post again on this thread and I am sure others will be happy to assist you with more listing feedback.
Agreed. Homeowners should be realistic about how appealing their sits are and how that narrows how many people will apply. For example, a location that requires a car automatically filters out anyone without a car who wonāt rent one; a location thatās not high on many peopleās list will be harder to fill; one thatās last minute is less likely to work out; one that has animals that most people arenāt experienced with will narrow sitters; and so on.
Nowadays, not having internet is a deal-breaker for many. I would never apply for such a sit, even if I didnāt work remotely f/t, no matter how nice the pets or the location or the house. Even folks without high-speed internet will have a harder time landing sitters.
Hiring a paid sitter makes better sense for some HOs, and even then paid sitters can be selective about sits.
