Sit locations completely screwed up

I’ve been looking for short local sits with wide parameters (animals, dates, etc.) and NOTHING in my area (a specific, very popular and and regularly full of opportunities county in Ca.) is appearing. When I enter specific cities in this county, I get a completely different county (same state but about 30 mi away) with, again, no listings in the requested county.
I KNOW - because I live here - that there are sits available.
What’s up with the very poor THS search functions !?!

Weird. I’ve not had an issue.
Can you give an example?

I find it easier to zoom in on the map when I need to remove any from outside the area I want. But it sounds like you have a tech issue if you are certain there should be sits, so you’ll need to contact support, although I am not sure how you know there are sits if you can’t see them, also bear in mind there are naturally less sits at this time of year in a lot of locations, but I’d contact @support.

In some situations online I’ve gotten problems when there are too many results. Then the solution is to narrow down the search. Not sure if that is what happens to you.

Is your own location set right? If it isn’t then of course a nearby-search will be wrong also.

HappyDeb has a good point regarding showing results on the map, and zooming in there.

You could also consider trying to switch what you are using to search with (from computer to app or reverse, depending).

My experience
I search for a specific town. There are 530 listings. I sort them using the distance criteria. Two pages of listings are relevant. The rest are no where remotely near where I want to be so they get ignored.

It is probably best to set up a Saved search using the map. Setting up the area that you want is easiest in the web interface. Then you can also get alerts and push notifications when new listings appear.
