I want to stop auto renewal but do not want to end membership.
The site info on this is confusing and suggests that if I end my auto-renewal, my membership will concurrently end.

Yes that’s how it works. If you cancel the auto renewal your membership ends.
Edited to add: the membership ends on the expiration date.
Thanks. That is a wee bit scammy.
I understand committing for a year or s specific given period. But holding one “hostage” (yes, a bit dramaitic on my end) is wrong.
It shouldn’t end immediately - just on the date when the membership is due for renewal.
This is exactly the contradiction I see. And, the fact that you and idocsteve have differing opinions confirms it !
I regularly take off auto renew and get offered a 20% discount to stay. My membership would just run its course.
My bad. I should have said when you cancel auto renewal your membership ends on the expiration date.(but any pending sits must be canceled).
Hi @toreishi If you cancel auto-renewal, I don’t think the system will allow you to confirm any sits for dates that are beyond your final day of paid membership. You will also lose access to your inbox as soon as you are no longer a paying member, so it’s worth exchanging private contact details with anyone you may have been messaging via THS inbox, so that you still have a way to contact them if needs be. Even if you decide to take a break and don’t renew straight away, your profile and reviews are kept on file for around 2 years, so you wouldn’t need to start again from scratch. And as @Twitcher mentions, THS often offer a discount to stay if you’re not set to auto-renew.
I thought this only worked once - how many times have you got 20% off successfully?
I would say at least 8 out of the last 12 years. @ed93. I take off auto renew & they usually offer a 20% discount to stay. Last year they didn’t so I googled discount codes & found one that worked. I paid £79.20 for the most basic plan.
I am sure that when my plan comes up for renewal in April it will no longer be available & my membership cost will double (at least).
I have no use for a premium plan so we will see what happens come April.
Thanks! Are they offering you that by email once your membership expires or as soon as you toggle off autorenew? I got it on the app when toggling off autorenew but was told this way only works once
When I toggled off. Perhaps they have got wise to it. Google discount codes, worth a try.
