From our former home in the Portland, Oregon, area. In the Pacific Northwest of the U.S.

Our house backed up to this park, so we could see happy dogs every day in the part where they could play together and romp leash free.

Oh, there’s a smudge in the middle of the photo, because our dog would press his nose against the window a lot. He used to leap up every day onto a table that we’d set up so he could “guard” the park. He loved it.

We happened to catch this in Las Vegas while driving for a meal. It looked like a wildfire.

@Maggie8K wow, you have certainly seen a lot of sunsets - must be bringing back some happy memories of places travelled as you find these photos. :sunrise::city_sunset:

We’re all so lucky to travel, @Shannon.

The sunsets I’m most nostalgic about, I never took photos of, from childhood on a tiny island in the Pacific. They’re in my mind’s eye.

A moment of magical “spotlight” on the Ferris wheel during an overcast sunset in Cambridge, U.K.

That light disappeared within seconds. I just happened to walk by at the right moment, while taking time off after a THS sit a few months ago.

  3. Uluru, also known as Ayers Rock. Per Wikipedia: It’s “a massive sandstone monolith in the heart of the Northern Territory’s arid ‘Red Centre.’ The nearest large town is Alice Springs, 450km away. Uluru is sacred to indigenous Australians and is thought to have started forming around 550 million years ago.”
