I’m a Valentine’s baby, and used to hate going to school that day as every student had so many cards, and yet it was MY day. I’m over that selfish attitude now though - I’ve matured.

Oatmeal stuffing for the turkey.
Some pin head oatmeal.
Some lard.
Lots of chopped onions.
Salt
Pepper.
Mix them all up into a ball. Place inside the turkey and cook.

Try having a grandmother and mother who were fantastic cooks. I tried but never got to their level.
Now I realise I am a good cook, just never got the chance in that household.

This used to take hours of boiling now with modern technology it’s ready in minutes. Great pudding with custard or by itself cold.
