Truth or fiction?

Just received a pre-sit email from THS saying:
“Don’t forget to leave your owner a shining review once you’re home”

Excuse me THS, but why would you assume I can honestly leave a shining review? I find this direction outrageous. I leave reviews for the benefit of future sitters, not for THS’ marketing purposes.

WOW!!! Really?!!

Don’t think I’ve had that message before, or if I have I ignored it!

It comes in a mail even before the sit:

… replace “shining” with “honest “ and it would be more appropriate .

I wonder if home owner gets a similar message to remind them to leave their sitter a “shining review “ ?

As sitters we leave “feedback “ not reviews and
The wording “your owner “ is rather strange too !!!?

Definitely not my owner !!!

@Ben-ProductManager the message above needs to be re-worded for the reasons below:

  1. Home owners are not “our owners “ !!!

  2. Sitters don’t leave reviews , we leave feedback

  3. . Our reviews should be honest and therefore may not be “shining “

HI @Katita @Silversitters Ben’s offline but we have passed your feedback to the team …

@Ben-ProductManager
Actually I’d prefer not to have my inbox cluttered with repetitive emails. Why not programme the system to only send these reminders to those who haven’t done a sit in (say) 6 months? Or more.

Why not just opt out of receiving any communication? I do and nothing terrible has happened.

but something terrible MIGHT happen if I opt out

Just keep on coming onto the forum. Best place to keep informed.

My last sitters arrived announcing they decided to leave a day before the sit ended, while I was flying home from overseas. And that was only part of it. It’s only fair to future home owners to be fair and honest in a review.

We kept getting prompts to do feedback, even though we had ALREADY left our feedback! (The - not ‘our’ - owner was great., and we said so.) And then we couldn’t find anywhere to request a review until late in the day after our sit ended.
I can’t help but take this as yet another example of THS favouring owners over sitters…

Unfortunately the emails are all or nothing! So you also would miss out on the newsletters with platform announcements. I had been opted out of everything until after I learned about the application limits in the forum. That said it’s still probably not a huge deal for us more active forum members, since everything in those newsletters are always discussed at length here

Yes, all or nothing.

I think it also stops the daily emails with alerts for the saved searches that one created on the web interface.
