Unless I’m mistaken then Two Factor Authentication (2FA) - a common security tool for user access - is available on the Community Forum of THS, but not on the main THS platform. Huh?. I suspect that content on THS platform (properties, pets, personal info, contact details, payment cards) was more deserving of security than conversation threads?
Does THS plan to introduce 2FA to its main platform?
That’s because the forum is a 3rd party service with their own devs dedicated to building forums while the THS site itself is a hand rolled platform where new features have to be implemented by THS devs.
It’s a good shout, but I’d be surprised if it’s added.
Agreed. 2FA is a common feature. I make no comment on THS dev priorities, simply spotted the irony of 2FA on Forum but not platform . I’m no dev (gulp) but Forum may be a well-designed version of discourse - if so then kudos to THS on user-friendly, pretty wrapper.
Hi @GotYourBack
I hear what you’re saying - I’ve passed your feedback over to the team - and if they give me any insight into whether 2FA might be included on the main site then I’ll let you know.
You’re correct about the Forum using the Discourse platform thank you for letting us know you like it!
I actually added this to the ‘features we’d like thread’ a couple of months back. Can you imagine the chaos that could ensue if your account got hacked.? I have 2fa on far less important accounts. Should be a priority for the production team IMO.
