That’s one of my favourite movies. Did you enjoy it?
Two good ones we saw on Netflix were Adolescence, a 4-part series set in Doncaster, UK about a teenage boy accused of murder, and Unknown Number: The High School Catfish. If you plan to see this second one, don’t look it up so you don’t risk seeing a spoiler. The conclusion is a very big surprise.
We also rewatched. Pretend It’s a City, Scorcese’s series of conversations with the marvelous (at least I think so) curmudgeon and New York resident, Fran Lebowitz.
I watched it last summer and I think it’s very good and certainly food for thought.
I did like The Way We Were @Newpetlover But I found The Great Gatsby dreadfully boring and couldn’t finish it.
Perhaps someone has mentioned it on here already, but, as house/pet-sitters, I think we could all find something to relate to in:
Man vs Bee - silly Rowan Atkinson slapstick
The Guest - rather a misnomer, but a thrilling short series
The Abandons on Netflix is good, mid 1800s USA fighting locals and landowners with plenty of gun battles. Gillian Anderson and Lena Headey. Malice is also fun. Jack Whitehall as a lunatic nanny for a rich family who have a summer place in Greece. David Duchovny is the head of the family & a brilliant A-Hole. Whitehall is brilliant acting and not doing stand up! #worthawatch
@Cuttlefish I’ve just recently finished watching Malice too & it was brilliant!
It’s on Prime video if anyone else fancies giving it a watch.
Secondhand Lions on Roku is very endearing.
I am currently watching Mare of Easttown on Sky Atlantic.
A small-town Pennsylvania detective, Mare Sheehan, who is trying her best to prevent her life from falling apart whilst investigating a mysterious murder.
Good one @Sam_F. Let me know what you think of the ending
@MaggieUU I really enjoyed watching this and thought it was brilliant but I would never have guessed the ending! A great twist.
I’m really enjoying watching Landman on Paramount+. Billy Bob Thornton, Demi Moore and Jon Hamm star in this series about the prospering oil rig industry of West Texas.
Same here. A complete surprise which is refreshing. Too many endings are predictable.
I’m enjoying watching The Undoing starring Nicole Kidman and Hugh Grant on Sky Atlantic.
It’s a brilliant modern twist to a classical “whodunnit” tale. The life of a wealthy New York therapist Grace Fraser, played by Nicole Kidman, turns upside down after she and her family get involved with a murder case.
Currently sitting in Western Australia
and tried our best to enjoy Blood of My Blood, the prequel to Outlander, but ten episodes was probably five too long. Stunning scenery and excellent acting, but the storyline was dragged out. Roll on Outlander series 8 in March.
I’m currently watching Down Cemetery Road on Apple tv.
When a house mysteriously explodes in the Oxford suburbs, a concerned neighbour teams up with a private investigator to find the truth which lands them in the middle of a chilling government conspiracy.
Is anyone else watching the latest series of The Traitors, the UK version?
The Traitors, series four sees 22 people from across the UK descend on a Scottish Castle to try and win up to £120K. It’s available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
I’m also loving the new twist with there now including a secret traitor in the mix!
Binged watched series 3 … Good bit of drama.
I am currently enjoying watching His & Hers on Netflix.
Two estranged spouses, one is a detective and the other a news reporter, compete to solve a murder in which each believes the other is a prime suspect.
