What are you watching?

I think Season 2 of Ludwig came out on BBC One on Thursday, August 20.

“Ring of Fire: An Indonesian Odyssey”… recently rediscovered this series that I was fascinated with when I saw it aaaages ago (1988ish, I guess). The adventures of 2 brothers exploring Indonesia in the 1970s, kind of in the spirit of the great explorers of the past. Pirates, headhunters, mystics, unknown territory. Ought to be interesting for many of the travellers here!
All 5 episodes are on Youtube, not super quality resolution, but, quite watchable. Here is the first one:
Spice Island Saga @ Ring of Fire An Indonesian Odyssey

Colin from Accounts Series 3, just landed on BBC. For those who don’t know, Colin is a dog.

HIs book Kitchen Confidential is awesome @BonnyinBrighton - one of the straplines is, “exposes Jamie Oliver for the choirboy he is”. Easy read and fascinating insight. Les Halles in NYC is brilliant & was his place. #bourdainbrilliance

No spoilers, I’m watching the final 3 episodes tonight…..

Read it and saw the series. Fantastic!

The Celebrity Traitors (UK) Series 2 on BBC iPlayer.

Claudia Winkleman welcomes a brand new group of celebrities to the beautiful Ardross Castle in the Scottish Highlands to play the ultimate reality game of detection, back-stabbing and trust.

I binge watched The Blame on ITVX over the weekend, it was brilliant! I have now discovered Law & Order: UK and will be watching more of that this week!

Just finished watching Inside Man on Netflix. It stars Stanley Tucci and David Tennant. I thought it was amazing.

At the theatres - Heart of the Beast - an action movie with a dog (actually 4 dogs who are all credited in the end scroll) and Brad Pitt as the stars.

The Loneliest Whale: The Search for 52. A documentary about a whale (maybe a hybrid) who vocalizes at 52 Hz, rather than the 10-40 Hz that most whales vocalize at. 52 was first discovered in the late 1980s. He was the subject of a week-long search in 2015 that has been documented in this film. It just cycled off of Netflix (I found it in the soon to be off list). But it is still on Tubi (and other free w/commercial) platforms. Check justwatch.com.
