What’s not to love, usually Homes with AGA’s are in rural locations in big old Homes with loads of History too, we find out so much from wandering around the local Church Graveyards, my Kids were really uneasy at first, they get it now. x
Love old graveyards. A couple of sits ago, I was in lovely Stratford-upon-Avon and got to visit Shakespeare’s hometown church, which had old gravesites. He was buried indoors, though, and cursed anyone who’d tried to move his bones, LOL.
I also love old graveyards. The most stunning that I have encountered is Glasnevin Cemetary in Dublin. If you ever get the chance to see it, I recommend going on the daily tour. So much history. However, the film One Million Dubliners is a reasonable substitute if you cannot go in person. I cannot get at my own photos at the moment but here is a link

I love this question. I am always picking up ideas. Just a few minutes ago I was looking on Etsy for glass backsplashes with pictures in them, courtesy of the lovely kitchen I am currently using while sitting for two dogs in Suffolk, UK. I am also a convert to the Aga stove AND the induction stove top. For now, I will continue to live with my no-frills gas stove at home.
I love Glasnevin. Also Highgate in London and Mountainview in Oakland, CA.
Hi @MaggieUU the attached link doesn’t appear to be working unfortunately
My nephew was cremated a few years ago at Glasnevin Cemetery. (Coincidentally, he would have been 26 yesterday ) It is a gorgeous cemetery.
I really want to get a cast iron griddle (the kind that takes up two burners) after our last sit. And the way that thing was seasoned??? I was impressed!
Also, Costco wagyu beef burgers…
@Samox24 hi. The link works for me. Anybody else having an issue with the Glasnevin link? Cheers
The least expensive item I’ve adopted is the use of biodegradable Swedish cellulose dish and counter cloths. A home in Montreal, Canada had them. They have saved me and the planet from using too many paper towels.
The most expensive item is a Samsung/Frame TV. I petsat twice for the same people in Santa Barbara that had one above their mantle. I loved that it looks like a painting when the TV is off. I kept thinking about it and one day, made the switch. I love that the TV is in the living room but adds to it rather than standing out like a sore thumb. Of course, Shula had to get in the action.
Yep. Great product for guacamole and many other items.
@ShulasMom What else do you use it on? I just went to Trader Joe’s near home and picked up a bottle yesterday.
I take mine on many sits. Yep. Couldn’t do without one.
Man! I LOVE the look on Shula’s face! It says, “this photo is really about ME!!”
Great on scrambled eggs or to spice up a rice dish.
Absolutely. She’s in all of the photos I took in each room of my house and yard, that are posted on my HO profile. She wants people to make no mistake what the sit is about—-her😂
@ShulasMom She’s adorable! Looks like she could appear in commercials!
@ShulasMom I agree with @Maggie8K Shula could definitely be in commercials…
oh that face!
Thanks. She’s a spunky and fun little poodle mutt that is always a hit with the sitters. She knows how to train them🤪. At first she didn’t like photos taken of her but over the years she’s come to embrace it. I’ve always wanted a dog that could “bring home the kibble”. Maybe she’s the one.
