What item have you discovered at a sit that made You Say, “I Need One of Those”?

I have fallen in love with my homeowners Haden electric kettle!

P.S. Remarkable shares evertone - I realized this post may cost me $:joy:

P.S.S. Thanks for also sharing this post What gadget have you discovered in a HOs house and you said wow, gotta get one of those?

This was discussed at length on the forum a while ago. If you search you should find a lot of answers to your question. I’ve just found it:

My kind homeowners left me spices and I discovered the much talked about Za’atar.

My current hosts pointed out their massage gun and said we were welcome to use it. Amazing and I will be ordering one. I was surprised to see how inexpensive they were.

There was a shoe cabinet at one sit. We were building out a new camper van and I decided to incorporate the design of the cabinet into our build. I love it!

I’m desperate to get this indoor food recycler/pre-composter, called “The Mill.” Worked like a champ, no noise & no smell…

It seems like almost every sit, I find some neat gadget or home-organization thing and think “I need one of those!”

Currently on the fence about a Nespresso machine as well. Love the coffee, just hate being tied to proprietary pods…

Almost every sit there’s something I covet, doesn’t have to be an expensive item (thankfully) - latest is an OXO salad spinner. Who knew I needed one? Had different brand years ago and it was rubbish, which is why I thought they were not necessary. How wrong was I! Then there’s the whistling kettle , love it , the rubber draining mat , the nice room atomisers… I’m sure there are more. Things we never knew we needed !

I just had to look up “The Mill” and let me say wow, it’s now on my list. If it helps, my friend has the Nepresso and uses a recycling service, and has used reusable pods. Not sure on the details. But thank you for your share The Mill is incredible!

I relate to the OXO salad spinner, I used it at my dad’s house, could not believe the difference then bought it - yes who knew!!!

I love my salad spinner!

Quick hint - I found a second one that “collapses” flat for taking on sits, if I’m driving. It’s not quite as good as my Oxo, but still works, & now I’m never stuck with wet romaine leaves. :joy:

Wait what - collapsible!!! :exploding_head: You have just increased my quality of travel life.

How cool & creative!

Tuna can strainer

:exploding_head: Who knew!!!

I need a Dutch Oven!! Our current host has several. I’ve often seen them in various country kitchens but never considered using one before.. Until I came across a fabulous Norwegian (no kneading) bread recipe that required one. Now I have to have one myself! Trouble is they are extremely expensive (at least the original Le Creuset is!) and extremely heavy! Hardly a practical item for a globetrotting housesitter to acquire at this point in time! I may have to put this wish on the back burner for now!:rofl::rofl:

Pics all appeared in the wrong order but you get the idea! :joy:

Recipe please ? @Lokstar

@Silversitters
