My current hosts pointed out their massage gun and said we were welcome to use it. Amazing and I will be ordering one. I was surprised to see how inexpensive they were.
There was a shoe cabinet at one sit. We were building out a new camper van and I decided to incorporate the design of the cabinet into our build. I love it!
Almost every sit there’s something I covet, doesn’t have to be an expensive item (thankfully) - latest is an OXO salad spinner. Who knew I needed one? Had different brand years ago and it was rubbish, which is why I thought they were not necessary. How wrong was I! Then there’s the whistling kettle , love it , the rubber draining mat , the nice room atomisers… I’m sure there are more. Things we never knew we needed !
I just had to look up “The Mill” and let me say wow, it’s now on my list. If it helps, my friend has the Nepresso and uses a recycling service, and has used reusable pods. Not sure on the details. But thank you for your share The Mill is incredible!
Quick hint - I found a second one that “collapses” flat for taking on sits, if I’m driving. It’s not quite as good as my Oxo, but still works, & now I’m never stuck with wet romaine leaves.
I need a Dutch Oven!! Our current host has several. I’ve often seen them in various country kitchens but never considered using one before.. Until I came across a fabulous Norwegian (no kneading) bread recipe that required one. Now I have to have one myself! Trouble is they are extremely expensive (at least the original Le Creuset is!) and extremely heavy! Hardly a practical item for a globetrotting housesitter to acquire at this point in time! I may have to put this wish on the back burner for now!
Pics all appeared in the wrong order but you get the idea!
