If it’s that bad then you really should contact the HO and explain your situation. They seemed to be very nice (paying for Air B+B) and ask them if they can find a replacement sitter and stay until they found one. About the cat: it might be anguish that it’s ‘family’ isn’t there and had ‘left her alone’ and therefore is a bit clingy. Contact the HO and talk it through. Good luck!

This sit ended long ago. But it seems THS is not for you. Sitters need to have some flexibility and adaptability to make it work. I have had sits which require a little bit of gardening. And a cat? No walking required. What were you expecting?
