Amazingly, the difference in the number of searches that one can save via the web and via the app is still the same as in July 2021.
On the web interface, when I tried to add a fourth, the web version displays this message:
“You’ve reached your limit on saved searches. To add another, delete a current saved search.”
So I was deleting and replacing and juggling. Now I discover that it is easy to save more by using the app.
(Maybe it is better for me to keep quiet about this? Will THS now change the limit in the app?)
Hi @Itchyfeet
I wanted to mention, that this discrepancy is a bug that the tech team is aware of and is working to fix asap, so that the reviews will always show the same on both the web and the app.
In the web interface it is clear in sitter profiles what verifications have been done. For sitters outside the US, the “Criminal background check” is not in the list.
But on the app, there is a tick mark at “Background check”, and this may create the misunderstanding that a criminal background check has been done for all sitters.
@pietkuip I’ve just done a check on both the web interface and the app and sitters verification symbols are the same. Those sitters outside the US who have completed a Background Check have that symbol on their profiles but, of course, the majority are just showing the ID verification symbol. I see no difference whether using the web or the app so not sure where you are seeing this possible area for misunderstanding.
I did not see how this was possible either, but someone in the US had the misunderstanding. And when I looked at the app, it looks like this, with the language about asking “all our sitters to do the free identity checks”.
A home owner had gotten the impression that it was the same for all sitters, and I could understand why.
I do understand now what you mean about the message below @pietkuip and how an owner could be confused but they really have to look at which verifications their prospective sitters have. Background checked would not be listed if it hasn’t been done. If they were considering an international sitter, they would see the difference.
And the absence of a tick mark for background checks is not a glaringly suspicious red flag in the case of sitters from outside the US. It is just standard, we have not been asked to get such a check done. It is not possible.
Hi!
I am currently on a sit and while I was looking for an address in the welcome guide, I first couldn’t find it. That’s when I discovered I have a different version on my app than on my computer.
@selma2202 Yep, it happened twice to us. I was looking at the welcome guide on the app and my partner on the website and the information was different!
This is obviously a big issue that needs to be resolved sooner than later.
@Angela_L I know you can’t personally do anything about this, but not sure how to tag product/tech team, so can you please pass this on? Thank you!
