We are new to the site, will both be in need sitters and looking at being sittees! Brad recently retired, and Alicia works in the insurance industry. We will be more than happily married for 30 years this May! We love to travel when possible to any exciting part of the world and enjoy camping with our teardrop trailer. Brad is an avid reader and has been experimenting with some writing of his own when not hiking with our dog Hazel. Alicia has become accomplished at sewing and other crafts. We have one 21-year-old daughter, who we are very proud of, who recently moved to Brooklyn and is building quite a reputation in the photographic arts. Our passions include family, friends, travel, music, and new experiences. I have seen posts about house swapping, which is not an official function of the site, but we are interested. If anyone is interested in exploring the idea read below (kinda long!) Thanks, Brad.
Welcome to our Urban Oasis in West Allis, WI, a burb just to the SW of Milwaukee! Our home is on the top floor of a 41 unit condominium building. It is 2 stories, very bright and airy with tons of windows. There are three bedrooms and bathrooms with a large kitchen, living room, and loft areas. There also is an extensive, private rooftop deck area. We have a dedicated guest room for you to sleep in, and underground secured parking is available. TV and internet high-speed WIFI provided, as well as in-unit laundry.
West Allis has many bars and restaurants within walking distance, and an excellent seasonal farmers market three blocks away that has been active for over 100 years! Milwaukee is a world-class entertainment destination with superb dining, theater, museums, festivals, parks, and nearby lakes. The shore of Lake Michigan is less than a 15-minute drive away which hosts the world’s largest musical festival, Summerfest, and other festivals all summer long. We are also walking distance to the WI State Fair grounds, which not only hosts the WI State Fair, but numerous other events, conventions, and music throughout the year. From your friendly neighborhood bar down the street, to world class art museums, we have it all! Food, breweries, attractions and lots of outdoor areas to explore.
Larry our cat is low maintenance and you would have lots of free time to explore the areas. When we have had visitors from others areas they have been amazed at the options.
If you would like to extend the visit to the area we can help with advise on where to go.
We have secured indoor parking and having a car available is possible!
Hello @bglassel and welcome to the forum community, and to TrustedHousesitters. The best way to promote your listing and your sitter profile is to embed them in your username forum profile. I’ll add the instructions for that next - you will need posts #1 and #8 of that thread to add both homeowner and sitter profiles.
You will reach a far wider audience via the website, rather than the forum.
If you have questions, there is a great amount of information already on the forum. Use the spyglass to search for key words for your questions. If you don’t find what you’re looking for, you can post questions here and our forum members will do their best to help.
As you’ve mentioned, house swapping is not part of the THS concept, but there is an earlier discussion of house swapping that may be of interest to you.

Welcome! How close are you to Kenosha? We will be heading there quite often to see our granddaughter in college and this might be an ideal opportunity if you are close enough.
We are about 45 minutes away, depending on which part of Kenosha. Yourself? Thanks, Brad.
