Calendar in THS broken?

Is it me or is anyone else seeing weird calendar dates in the system? When I search for a sit and look at the calendar options for dates, I am seeing dates that don’t match what my phone or PC is telling me. For example, as of today, THS describes the 25th April as a Friday and the 26th as a Saturday and so on. Yet according to my PC calendar, the 25th of April is today and it’s a Saturday and the 26th tomorrow will be a Sunday. Maybe I’ve entered the Twilight Zone but somehow I trust the folks at Microsoft, Google and Apple to tell me the dates correctly!

Looks ok to me are you looking at the correct year ?

This the view when I’m logged in and using my laptop which is fine.

But this is the view when I’m using my mobile phone…

Maybe the app needs updating? :thinking:

Your phone calendar starts the week on Sunday. TrustedHousesitters (UK format) starts the week on a Monday. Look at the top of both images you’ve given and you’ll note the start days are different. Maybe it’s your phone settings? It’s showing correctly on my iPhone.

Yes, but the purple dot still points to different days. On the PC version, the dot points to the 25th being a Saturday (which is correct) but in the phone version the dot points to the 25th being a Friday. How the days of the week start makes no difference. I’m still in the Twilight Zone!

Yes I should have tested my theory out first. I just did and no difference. Mine still shows correctly each time, regardless of which day the week starts on. Sorry I can’t be of any help.

Thanks for trying. I’ve just restarted my phone and it hasn’t changed. All my other calendars on the phone are correct, so it’s just this app. I’ve also tried to see if I could update the app in the App Store but there didn’t appear to be an update. At the moment, this is a problem as I do 99% of my bookings using the phone and have just done a series of sits with no problem with dates. But right now, I would have to check with the house owner that the dates I can see advertised are the actual dates they want. If I or we are a day out of sync, it’s a huge problem as you could imagine. I just wonder if anyone else, maybe in the UK, is seeing the same thing as me. In my humble opinion, this seems like an app issue to me. Currently I’m in Turkey but time differences don’t (or shouldn’t at least) affect calendar dates.

I just checked for you on the website, as well as iOS app and both look fine. (I’m on an iPad, which uses the same app as iOS cell phones.)

Thanks for sharing! I’ll see if anyone else has this problem and try to think of a solution. Can’t think what that might be but maybe overnight the app fairy might have dealt with it :grin:

@Kalinga,

What kind of phone and what operating system are you using?

It’s an older iPhone but with the latest operating system on it. But as I’ve mentioned, all the calendars and other apps on my phone with dates are behaving normally. Anyway, someone from the support team has reached out and I’ve replied. We’ll see what happens.

Keep us updated @Kainga - I hope it’s sorted out soon!
