Software issues

How many of us are having issues with the updated software?

Most of us use our phones when traveling, and since the update has been done, your on screen keyboard covers the message line making it very difficult to answer anything.

I chatted with Frankie, on line bot, and was above his/her pay grade.

What do you do?

For that sort of thing, I just use workarounds. Like I write on a digital notepad and then paste in what I wrote into the THS forum posting box.

I opt for workarounds, because THS has frequent technical hiccups and tends to be slow or ineffectual in fixing. And when they fix or update, they often break something else.

I also use the website almost exclusively, because it tends to have fewer bugs than the apps. I use the iOS app usually only to check whether a host has any missing sitter reviews (because the website doesn’t show those).

@Mooky42 You’ll see using the spyglass that there is already a thread on this very issue. As @Maggie8K suggests, using the THS website, with issues like this, works better and can be accessed through your phone too.

Thank you Temba. I did search but couldn’t find what I was after.

In contacting the organization, THS, apparently there is an update programmed for this Monday coming for Android users.

Let’s see what happens.

Don’t hold your breath, updates and changes aren’t always properly tested and break other functionality.

Is anyone having problems with the THS web site? It won’t load properly.

Loading fine for me with the website on iOS on my iPad.

Yes I cannot open the dates on listings. It worked one time today. Getting very frustrated. I sent a message to support at this.I tried reload app and changing password. I did get new phone recently but that should not be a problem. So I basically cannot send messages to for applications.. Ty

Well I just went to website and I can click on the dates there but not the app!

Here’s hoping. Because I had that same problem - I was trying to message the HO of an upcoming sit, quite urgently. I ended up sending him gobbledegook, because I simply couldn’t see what I was typing. Goodness knows what the poor guy thought..

Normally, I access the THS website via my laptop and I’ve never had any problems. But very occasionally, usually when away on a sit, I have to resort to the app. I’m not a fan.

When you’re in a situation like this, whether it’s THS or anywhere else, on a pc, type your message in a text file and then copy and paste it into the message box in whatever website box you’re using. Same can be done with a phone using the built in notepad app.

My Android phone THS App is still not working today. I cannot click on “view dates”

Is this happening w Apple phone also or just Android?

I’m not getting any notifications nor can I view dates and respond so I’m missing out on sits

Yes it continues today as well. It will on rare occasions open the dates. Very sporadic using the he APP. Yes very irritating. Is this happening w Apple phone? I’m using Android phone. Same problem w Android tablet

@Buckheadgirl I have an iPhone and the app is working smoothly.

Ty…now I notice that if I click on something else like responsibly or location the DATES populate! But if I look at a listing and only hit the DATES button it doesn’t open!!!

My Android phone and tablet is working on the APP normally today…thankfully
