Constant logging into the app with verification code needed!

You should be able to log onto the website from an internet browser on your phone. Hopefully you can leave the review then

Thanks @MaggieUU , just done that and it’s worked. Don’t think I’m going to bother with the app any more , not good for my mental health :confused:.

I just wanted to clarify this post wasn’t about having a moan about the app or THS. I wanted to see if if was my issue, I’m completely onboard with two factor authentication and keeping everyone’s data safe, and being compliant across various countries rules about data breaches.
Thanks to everyone who made suggestions to make life easier, I’m going to set up a new email that gets sent to both our inboxes.

I understand THS wants to be safe but, EVERY TIME I log in, I need a verification tool, even in the iPhone App. I have been happy with THS until know but they are starting to annoy me so much, that it might be time to leave. :angry:

Please accept my apologies for the time it took me to get back to you on this. Completely my fault - here’s what I’ve got from the team.

They’ve let me know that what you’re describing isn’t a known bug, and they also mentioned that members are typically logged out if they happen to lose internet connection while trying to open or use the app, along with when a phone is in airplane mode.

It might be useful to reach out to Membership Services directly for more help and detail with this, as I can only really pass along feedback, but if it’s easier I’d be happy to pass your details over to the team with a note of what you said and a request for someone to reach out.

@jostenuit I’ve been a TrustedHousesitters sitter for 11 years and a forum member for about 5 years. To say I am disheartened by the changes over that time is an understatement. Given you say it might be time to leave, I’ll just mention that there are new house sitting sites online (search with the spyglass on the forum) and one is currently offering a free membership. It doesn’t hurt to have options.

I also have this problem with the app and as well in the web version. But I’m not wasting my time and dealing with technical support. Already so many members described this problem, why couldn’t tech team just do THEIR JOB and resolve it? It’s been months like that! And yes, it’s super ANNOYING!

I am so sick and tired of the constant need to enter a verification code multiple times a month when I log in. I get logged out of the app on both of my iPhone, my iPad and web browser randomly at least once a month from each, often times more.

There is literally no need to constantly require the verifcation code sent to email. Facebook keeps me logged in to their app and website for literally years without logging me out, to the point where I can’t remember the last time I had to provide my details. THS is not a banking app to require verification codes so frequently.

You need more professionally developers if they can’t figure out how to fix this.

For the past few days, I have been getting logged out of the website constantly. As I am currently searching for new sits, I check the listings numerous times a day, particularly when notified of new postings. Each time I go to take a look, I am forced to F2 log back in, again and again, ten or more times a day. My tabs remain open, so it is not as I am starting a new session (although it should not matter). and this has never happened before. Incredibly frustrating and irritating. What´s wrong?

I only use my laptop, but since the two step thingy I now no longer log out so can get in immediately. It does every couple of months though still log me out and then I need code sent to phone. Just so long winded and unnecessary. If a bank account I could understand but who is going to steal a house sit?

I never log out manually, and I always keep the tab open. Previously, I would need to log in only every couple of weeks. Now, however, for the past few days, I am prompted to log in every single time I try to access a page.
