Is anyone one else finding themselves logged out of the app multiple times a month?
My husband and I use iPhones and facial recognition to open the app but recently we find we’re logged out and then need to go to my email address for a link to log back in.
It’s slightly annoying but it’s made worse by the fact that although we pay for duo sitters, my husband doesn’t have a email send to his phone to log in but has to either ask me for a login code or phone me if we’re not together.
Are we the only ones having this issue? Could THS sort out the tech so he can log on with needing me to help? Any help gratefully appreciated.
Yup, same. I love petsitting, but if I get angry if I spend too much time thinking about how exploitative and useless this company is.
Set up a rule in your mail that forwards the email to him.

Case of “over-engineering” security at the expense of user experience. You’d think a platform built on the idea of making life easier for travelers would prioritize a seamless login
It’s hard to understand why THS chose this path instead of following common practice, like letting the code show up in the email preview or, even better, having it auto-fill. Having to open the email, scroll all the way down to find the code, and then copy and paste it digit by digit into the login page is just beyond me.
Same here. It’s frustrating.
And it usually happens that I get kicked out just when I would like to apply for a listing really fast. ![]()
I have the same issue on the phone app occasionally (also iphone), but the desktop lets me stay logged in. SUPER ANNOYING ![]()
Me too, getting sick of it now. The app is useless. I thought the extra fees were meant to improve things! It’s got worse.
The app is now useless to me.
Maybe create a shared email address so your husband and you can both access the verification code. THS has inept tech and decision-makers, and it’s unlikely to improve.
Of course this happens any time I am traveling to a sit. And I did not screen shot something about the WG. And I need to open my computer to access my email. It is just the worst: of course it keeps logging me out because I am using several different internets a week, yes, because I am traveling.

It’s always been useless in my experience. I always use the website
It goes through phases, I’ll have a few weeks when it happens all the time then just as mysteriously it stops happening…
I’ve not gotten logged out or had to authenticate in a while (
), but note that I almost always use the same client (the app) on my same device (iPhone.)
Do you happen to use multiple devices or switch clients regularly? If it’s like some systems I’ve seen, logging in from a different device or client can trigger them to force authentication.
I only ever access THS app via my iPhone so it’s a mystery that refuses to be solved…. but makes life interesting/puzzling of course.
I used to have THS open on two computers, but that I have completely given up, as it does log me out on one when I open the other. When I sit as a couple, it is jarring that my partner accessing the site (and f e WG) means we need to do a process of 30 steps - instead the old way, where the I could just stay logged in forever.

Well, I am now unable to leave a review for my last sit on the app, the next button won’t proceed, it just gets worse doesn’t it!! Can someone PLEASE sort out this app, it’s totally useless. Never known it as bad as this, EVER. Improvements! Don’t make me laugh.
