I am a sitter, and have sometimes wondered if HOs get updates about that sitter’s latest reviews. In other words, say you’d booked me for a sit starting in a couple of months’ time, do you get a notification that I have completed a current sit and the review?
(Reading this back, it seems like I am worried about upcoming sit HO seeing my current review, this is absolutely not the case! I am the proud owner of over 100 five-star reviews. I was just curious!)
No, they do not.
I’ve wondered that too in the past so I’m glad you asked, and we’ve got all 5* reviews too. It would be a good marketing tactic for THS if they did do this, because the HO would remember how good their sitter was and renew their annual registration on time, instead of waiting. for it to lapse.
Nope. No review notifications. I sometimes check. Recently, a sitter had gotten a four star review with a couple of not great comments from the host, but it didn’t concern me much and the sitter was fine. Not sure what I’d do if the review had been really bad or brought up a serious issue, but hosts would have to look at the profile. No alert.
I returned (and my sitter left) yesterday, and no notification. I logged onto THS just now and there was a banner that said (something like) you have one sitter to review and I left that review, but had I not logged on, I wouldn’t have seen it.
In short “no”
The only review notifications an owner gets is for the sitter that has just completed the sit for that owner. Owners don’t get notifications if their confirmed sitter has received a review from another owner.
Please don’t give THS ideas. The last thing I want is yet another notification… from anybody! If I’m curious to know about a future sitter’s latest reviews, I’ll go check them.
