Glitch in reviews and favorites - Resolved 03-10-2022

Think THS could do well to put a banner on the home page saying there is a glitch that they are urgently trying to fix.

Oh thank you, I’m not a regular forum user and clearly not a very proficient one either! Do you know if we can still post and receive feedback/reviews?

As a host we used to be able to see what sitters said about the host at their sits, however this option appears to have been removed and just a simple star rating has replaced it.
If a host leaves a poor review which we can all see surely the sitter has the right to reply which everyone can see otherwise the whole feedback/ review system is totally biased towards the host??
P S This change has only happened in the last few weeks

Why hasn’t THS sent out an email explaining this issue and that they are in the process of fixing it? This shouldn’t be just communicated to those few of us on the Forum. This is a system-wide problem that every owner and every sitter needs to be aware of (as it effects all of them). I am on other web-based communities (Cambly) where every time there is an outage or issue then send an email out to everyone explaining the issue and they are working on it. Then they send a follow-up email stating that the problem has been fixed. Trusted Housesitters should do the same. It’s the right thing to do - open and honest communication to ALL of its members (not just those on the Forum).

@jennymcg - Open and honest communication is not the THS way, unfortunately. If it is was, they would have e-mailed about the 5-app limit also.

@jennymcg this is another example of poor communication from THS about an issue that affects all members. For some reason they won’t send out an email blast to all members no matter how critical members think the issue is.

This is concerning that it wasn’t fixed immediately. I know that my husband gets called at all hours of the day/night if there’s a glitch in his company’s website. Doesn’t matter if it’s the weekend or we are on a vacation. So, question: since reviews aren’t showing, will what we write (both sitters and owners) be saved? Or will we have to write it all over again?

HI @jennymcg @Crookie @SoloTraveler and others in this thread. We understand how frustrating any negative impact on the functionality of site is for members. Rest assured the team are working around the clock to fix the bug they also want to make certain that once done the fix is fully tested to avoid any further issues.

Angela, you are missing my point. I understand that the team would be working hard to fix this and of course I am patient while that happens. My point is that THS has not advised ALL members about this significant functional issue. The 10% of members on this forum are the only ones aware and then that wouldn’t be all forum members. I only found out as I stumbled on this thread. I’ve bypassed applying for several sits in the last few days due to no previous sitters leaving reviews for the HO…a red flag! This would reduce the number of applications a HO receives from sitters who are aware of this red flag.

Why is THS not advising ALL members about this through an email blast or note on the landing page of the website & app?

Same. I also am not applying for sits bec I can’t see past reviews… I can’t even see what I’ve favorited! Did someone sabotage this from the inside? Seems coincidental that with all the recent complaints this major feature of listings just went poof all of a sudden. And it doesn’t seem like they’re in a hurry to fix it.

Hi @Crookie, thank you and I didn’t miss your point I just cannot offer an answer for it right now. But what I can say again is this is a matter of priority which the team are working hard to resolve it.

Once we have news we will update.

@treelama – my “who has saved” our listing glitch is now fixed. So happy, as I depend on it!

There seems to still be some listings where their previous reviews are not showing - just the thumbs up? The ones I have seen do not currently have sitters needed but still, their reviews should be showing? @Vanessa_A @Therese @Ben-ProductManager @Angela_L
