We lived in Costa Rica most of our lives but illness brought us back to the US for a while. Now we’re reconsidering a return and are thinking of the Tilaran/Arenal area. We’re avid animal owners and are interested in housesitting and would like to know more. This area is one we’re very familiar with. Tips to get started? How far in advance should we set up a profile?

I truly love Costa Rica, my hubby and I have been fortunate to visit many times and we especially love Arenal. Lake Arenal and the picture perfect Arenal Volcano as its backdrop… stunning!

How to add a listing or profile link to your FORUM profile

New sitter member how do we help the owner prepare for our sit?

Hello all, Me and my fiance just joined THS and got out first sit confirmed this morning. The HO has asked what can they prepare for our arrival? I’m not sure what to say really as we don’t know what is the basic expectations from sitters? I’m assuming fresh bed sheets, clean bathroom, clear instructions for house care and alarm system, etc. Is there a list of basic requirements you all use?
