I have just noticed that a green shield with a tick has appeared on the majority of sitter profiles. It appears to show that the ID has been verified.
There are some sitter profiles not showing the shield. I presumed a listing would not go live until at least ID had been verified.
@Twitcher THS has tweaked our profiles. Do a scroll down your profile (or any sitter)to see the Verification section has become more prominent.
Thanks @temba. I am based in the UK and my profile states that my ID has been verified by a third party (Evident). Not sure if that is correct. I thought that was only for sitters based in the US.
Mine also says verified by Evident and Iām in Aust @Twitcher. Both yours and mine were verified long before Evident was used. I think THS just says all verified by Evident for convenience.

I agree that it is odd that some sitters donāt have a badge on their profile - as you say all sitters have to be verified .

Iām in Australia and my ID Verified badge is showing and states that it was verified by a licence or passport. There is no mention of the word āevidentā
This is what is stated on my profile. I donāt think it is true.
The sitterās identity has been confirmed and cross-checked, using an official government ID (such as a passport, driving licence or National Identity Card).
This service is provided by Evident, a secure and accredited third-party provider.

It appears the same whether using the website or the app.

It seems to me that it would be better to ask TH to explain (hopefully they do) rather than the forum
Well it has been over a week and several emails backwards and forwards to membership services and I am no wiser.
All I wanted to know was an answer to a simple question. Why does my profile state that my ID has been checked by a third party (Evident) when it hasnāt.
I think that is very misleading and untrue.
I was advised that Evident have carried out ID checks on non US sitters since 2018. As I am based in the UK and have been a member since 2013 this does not apply to me.
I do realise there is a difference between ID checks and background checks. Only US sitters require the extra background check and that is carried out by Evident.
They are going back to the āteamā to see if I need a further check.
That is not the issue, the issue is the false information showing on my profile!
