Hi, I am Del from The Beautiful Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia. My husband Chris and I are both retired now and have been house sitting for about 7 years. Five of those years on International trips. Our specialty is cats and in fact we have two very spoilt ragdolls of our own. I have never met a cat I did not like and love to see them come out of their shell and learn to trust new people. Next week we are heading across to Canada for 7 weeks including two house sits. Nice to join this forum and find out what everyone else is up to.

Hi @Del and welcome. My husband and I are also sitters & new home owners just up the road (100kms) at Scarborough. We are heading to the UK in November for 5 months of full time house sitting, our first international gig. We have just confirmed sitters to look after our place while we’re away (hence being first time owners). Enjoy the forum, it’s full of very helpful peeps.

We are in Brisbane so not far from either yourself or @Crookie . We have quite a few weekend sits booked in Brisbane this year and are looking forward to getting back into international pet sitting next year.
We have a 6 week sit lined up in Quebec for Jan/Feb (sounds crazy but we are looking forward to our very first snow shoveling experience!!) and a 12 week sit lined up in the French Alps during May/June/July.
