Virginia colors today
Lovely @Amparo. My large pumpkin became spicy pumpkin soup last night… my first attempt and I was very happy with the result
Here’s the remains of Autumn in Burgundy… busy leaf clearing day ahead
Enjoy Virginia! My first ever trip to the US was to Charlottesville and then a road-trip around the state… felt very much like England’s countryside … but bigger
I took far too many photos this week as our Autumn starts to come to a close here, and wanted to post a few. The first one is part of the view from our living room, and the others are two minutes drive from the house, taken as I was on my way to the supermarket…I just had to stop and enjoy it all for a little while before going on my way. I’m between Rothbury and Alnwick in Northumberland, England.
Ooh that sounds delicious and fun. Beautiful place you are in. Enjoy!
Stunning photos @Boodie and that’s some living room view!! Thanks for sharing
Gorgeous lupines. Reminds me of Cape Cod in September.
Are they lupins?
I was told indeed they are. Oh they smell lovely
That’s such a lovely picture @TheMapleKiwi … the colors are wonderful
The only place I’ve ever seen lupins like that was on Arthur’s Pass. Beautiful
I rarely see them in UK but my nans garden in London used to be full of them! They look amazing in this wild environment!
I admit i’d never seen lupins before or may not have known at the time what they were.
The cloud cover yesterday hid some great views but since Tekapo’s super close, will be there often wandering the trails & admiring the views.
It’s that time of year again when glorious colors take over nature in the Northern Hemisphere
“Autumn leaves don’t fall, they fly. They take their time and wander on this their only chance to soar.” - Delia Owens, Where the Crawdads Sing
These glorious pics of Quebec were sent to me by friends and Barclay’s pet parents (current sit in San Diego) Bill & Mary cruising the St Lawrence River in Canada
I’ve been in the Pacific Northwest now for 2 months on multiple sits. I’m currently in Portland Oregon and the colors are still popping
