I joined THS last month as I’d heard good reviews from friends. My husband and I love to travel but our cat and our daughter’s cat really do better with sitters on-site, as opposed to drop-ins. We are looking forward to at least three trips this year and I’ve already arranged our first sitters. I just posted a stay for almost five weeks and I’m hoping the perfect sitter is anxious to see all Nashville has to offer.
After joining last month, I posted a sitting and engaged a couple for the job. Now, I am trying to post another housesit and I’ll be darned if I can figure out how to do so. I have added dates, verified, and I cannot seem to get to next step. I’m feeling particularly stupid over this.
I’ve looked at FAQs but have not seen this addressed. Can anyone tell me where to look. Thanks much.
Hi @RamseyDoran welcome to our community forum and to TrustedHousesitters, congratulations on engaging your first sitters Gabby and Boo will be the purrfect companions. You can also add your listing to your forum profile that way other members can view your listing … and meet your adorable kitties. This link will explain how >> How to add a listing or profile link to your FORUM profile
I’m sorry you are having issues with adding dates, could you let me have the dates and I will take a look at your account and see what the issue is … I have moved your post so that both are in the same thread, our members are helpful and supportive so please ask any questions you may have.
Welcome again,
Angela and the team
Welcome again
Hello Angela, We are leaving Nashville on June 17 and returning on July 20. Thank you for checking this for me. I know I have ample time but I wanted to get this process going.
Ramsey
Hi @RamseyDoran I’ve added the dates and they are now live on the site. I’m sure it was just a tech glitch but for future ref.

Hi, @RamseyDoran. OMG, I LOVE Nashville! I almost wish I was a sitter so I could convince my husband we should take your sit!
For those of you who have never been, the music, the outdoor experiences, the food, the music, the history, the outdoor…I would just repeat myself over and over again! I have bicycled the Natchez Trace with my family, visited Nashville itself several times, and tried to convince both my kids to to to Vanderbilt University so I would have an easy reason to visit
I love THS and have had great experiences finding sitters. Like you, we prefer sitters on-site. Our cats are very social, and I love that our sitters have all enjoyed hanging out with them and taking care of our plants and gardens.
And have I mentioned how much I love Nashville? Yum!!!
Hey Angela, thanks for your help; I have received a healthy supply of responses and now need to get and choose one!
Ramsey
@RamseyDoran congrats on your success with attracting applicants. Just a mention that you can pause receiving applications while you review ‘the healthy supply’. You can always open it up again, if for some reason you didn’t find anyone in the batch you’ve received. Pausing it just makes for less work for you, and less disappointment for those who come later.
Thank you @Snowbird. Right now I cannot get into my account as my password doesn’t work and the reset link is not coming through. AARGH. Technology can be so wonderful and so terribly frustrating!
Ramsey
Hi @RamseyDoran are you still having log in issues? If so I will connect you with the Membership Services Team
Hey Angela,
Thanks for checking . I was able to get in and have reached out to two of my applicants for FaceTime calls.
I must confess that I’m overwhelmed with all the emails that are coming from THS. I have over 20 emails in my inbox and I find that off-putting. Is there a way to get these reduced or compiled to fewer emails.
Also, last time, I responded to all those who had applied and told them I had chosen another sitter. Do I need to do that with folks who have simply saved my listing?
Thanks for any info you can give me.
Ramsey
Hi @RamseyDoran that’s great news, I hope you have successful calls.
The emails are these to your email address or are you referring to sitter applications in your account messaging system., I’m sure you mean emails from TrustedHousesitters but just to be sure.
No you don’t have to respond to those who have saved your listing only to applicants.
Thank you
Do it! Why not enjoy full out!!
Loved our December 2019 trip to Nashville, and my husband has a guitar being made there that he will need to collect, so we might swing by and go onto Austin! We loved The Five Spot in East Nashville for music without huge crowds.
