New Sitters from VA, USA

Hi everyone!

I’m Rachel, and my husband and I are new to THS. We just got home from our first sit last week in Nashville! They gave us our first five-star rating, YAYYY!

We are from a small town in Central Virginia and own an Australian cattle dog and cat. We love to travel to new places and are so excited about the opportunities given through THS. We already have another sit lined up for Nashville again in October! (our best friends live in Nashville, so we’ll be frequent flyers in the town lol).

We’re excited to get to know you all through the forum!

Congratulation @rhmoszumanski on your first sit…and what a great City to have that first sit! Nashville is one of my favorite places and we too, have best friends there as well…haven’t gotten the chance to do a sit there yet, but hoping to in the next year or so.

Keep up the great work getting those five-star reviews! They make it so much easier to snag the next sit because pet parents know they can trust the rating given to you.

If you have any pics of your sit, make sure you share them with all of us on the forum. We love living vicariously through them!

Well done Rachel on your first sit. I’m curious to know whether you took your own pets with you to the sit or got someone else in your home……

Thank you! My pets stay with family members when we go out of town

@rhmoszumanski Congratulations Rachel and hubby! Great to hear you are underway and have that all important first review!! We have a special fondness for Aussie Cattle Dogs and have a repeat sit we do in France where we started with 2 but one old lady (15) recently passed. We just returned to stay with the owners for a couple of days after a nearby sit and enjoyed a long walk with Neddy in the mountains. It was like going home… after 4 visits he knows us well and was so excited when we walked through the door!

They are lovely, intelligent, loyal pups, and I love the way I get herded on a walk. I’m the slower on the steep mountain hills, and without fail he waits for me or ushers me up from behind. Love him to bits. Ned was attacked as a pup by another dog and has a weak leg, but it doesn’t deter him in anyway.

Do you have a photo of yours to share here ? This is Ned.

Hi Vanessa! Ned is so cute. Oh my word, he’s precious.

Here’s our sweet girl, Skye. We’re not sure if she’s 100% pure bred, but the shelter seemed to think she was blue mottled (hence more white). We personally think she may be a Texas heeler (Australian cattle dog and Australian shepherd mixed)
