I am sorry to hear you are feeling discouraged. May I ask how exactly you’ve gone about requesting a sitter on the site?

Hi all, I’m new to the site. I posted a listing a month ago for a sit coming up in early June and got lots of saves but no applications. We ended up having to hire someone. I have another listing for far in the future posted but the same thing is happening—saves but no applications. Is this normal? Am I supposed to reach out to invite people instead of waiting for applications?

We get invited to so many sits that we have had to decline, because we are either on a sit, or travelling etc.
We update our calendar to reflect this, (a sit through THS is automatically struck through), but after conversations with many homeowners, it appears that it is very confusing.
A date with a line through it, means we are on a sit through THS.
A date in green, means we are available. (Edited)
An open white date means we are not available. (Edited)
