No pets can I still have a house sit?

I don’t have pets, although wish to explore having someone look after my flat while I’m away. Is that something that can be arranged here too. I live in west berkshire a nice part of the country, approx on.e hour from London on the train.

Welcome @Suki yes there are many sitters who would be willing to take care of your flat . It’s not a requirement to have pets. It would be on the same basis no payment expected from either sitter or homeowner.

Hi @Suki and Welcome. Yes that isn’t a problem at all and would be appealing to many sitters.

Thank you. That’s useful to know. I’m also thinking of house sitting, since checking out trusted house sitters. I’m retired now and it would be great for me. Plenty of time on my hands

@Suki We are currently half way through a five week house sit with no pets. If and when you decide to create a listing, I’m sure you will have no problems finding a great trustedhousesitter.

Hi @Suki We did a 2-week no-pet housesit earlier this year- the hosts had been part way through renovations so one part of the house was not fully secured. They just wanted a presence at the house, for security, as it was rather rural… It was particularly attractive for us as it was our first sit- of a series- after having flown in from the other side of the world. We were able to relax & get over the jet-lag in peace, and also to recover from something picked up on the plane! All without pet care responsibility!
Its rare to see a sit with no pets but its definitely OK to list it. Someone will be happy to have a sit with less responsibility & we all sit for different reasons at different times. Good luck!

Hi @Suki and a very warm welcome to the Community Forum :wave:t2::slightly_smiling_face:

As others on here have already said it is absolutely fine for someone to look after your flat for you whilst you are away with no pets involved. I am sure you will receive many applicants.

For reference, as a member, once your listing is completed you can also add your TrustedHousesitters profile on to your Forum profile by following the attached link, should you wish. This will then enable others to offer you helpful advice and feedback and will also give your listing extra exposure!

If you are unsure how to do this, or if you have any questions at all, do not hesitate to ask, we are all more than happy to help.

Also, remember you can use the spyglass symbol at the top of the page next to the TrustedHousesitters logo and search for any questions that you may have as they have most likely already been answered on here and of course if not then please just ask!

For sure, I am sure that there are plenty of sitters who would apply. Dependant on fitting 4 of us in, I would apply.

Hi @Suki we are owners and sitters. When we went to Europe for 5 months we had wonderful sitters in our apartment to look after it while we were away and we don’t have pets. They had an amazing beachside stay and we had a worry free international sitting adventure. Go for it!
