@Therese can you please ask the tech team to advise a timeline for when the app is going to be fixed? These problems have been going on for a week now. The app is basically unusable.

@Angela_L Any heads up from the tech team? I start wondering if “the tech team” actually consists of 1 person who’s on her annual holiday, so we all have to wait till he/she comes back…

It really shouldn’t take 10 days to fix an app. And it’s not a small ‘problem’ either, it actually affects seeing sits and being able to apply for them, which is the essence of THS.

Sorry for the rant, obviously not meant at you, but I really have a hard time understanding.

That is my impression too. I guess that THS is contracting this work out to an outside software company. And quite possibly to different companies, which might explain the discrepancies between different user interfaces (different limits on the number of “Saved searches”, the missing references only visible in the apps, the difference now in the sequence in which user profiles are presented, etc).

And then it is a problem. I was once involved in a non-profit with a web site that had been contracted out. They charged huge amounts of money for any minor changes. After they had taken over the database, they had us by the :softball: :tennis:

The forum team do not have any updates about this and I appreciate that is frustrating for those that are affected by this issue.

The Membership Service team are dealing with the cases that have been raised with the tech team so I would advise you to follow up with them as they will be able to give you more information when it’s available.

I’m having similar issues to @Ruthyf , on my android app.

The app is currently almost completely unusable.
For me, this started when I updated the app, after I was prompted to.
When will this be fixed?

With the 5 application pause having changed the application process so dramatically for so many of us, sitters need a functioning app so we can keep track of listings.

Yeah support basically told me it is a bug in the app so that has to be fixed. Wish I had never done the update now.

I’ve been given no timeline for a fix either.

So despite doing the most recent app update, the app is still malfunctioning.

Very disappointed this is taking so long to rectify. Having to use the website via browser is just not as smooth and easy as the app.

Wish THS would get this sorted. We pay for a service including a functioning app, and we currently can’t use it with saved searches properly.

Agree, still no notifications and I know for a fact that at least one of my saved searches would have given me a sit I’ve been looking for because luckily the HO reached out to me directly. Otherwise I never would have seen it :frowning:

I’ll believe it if it actually happens. Why only some bugs being fixed and not all?

I hesitate to say this but I think the app might be fixed. I use a Samsung android and the app seems to be back to normal :crossed_fingers:

I agree re Apple phones - the latest app update seems to have fixed it.

Hi All

I wanted to let you know the latest update as been released.

iOS 2.26.0 and Android 2.26.0

A few little bug issues, but it addresses the main issue of sometimes 'when pressing on a notification a blank screen appeared. This should now be fixed.

We will keep you updated as to new releases.

Updated to Android 2.30.0 released on November 2nd

I am not a big fan of the Lavender & Lemon colors, but i guess we are going for the more “hip” look?
In the reviews the stars are now purple. On the favorites the heart is now in tennis ball yellow color and sometimes the heart is not visible as it blends in with the background of the first photo.


Thanks @BunnyCat. I only did the update yesterday and noticed the new THS app colours today and thought “what now?!” And not in a good way. Sigh…
