I am surprised I don’t see this anywhere, unless someone can put me in the right direction? The app is PANTS.
I have tried to submit feedback via email on 3 occasions and I’ve either emailed from a different account or its a “it doesnt work like that” response.
There should be an exclude filter. For example, I want to search everywhere except from some countries (let’s keep this friendly and not name the countries you don’t prefer and spark a separate topic).
I wan’t to exclude one pet catefory, instead of include all but one.
I wan’t to do search within these 3 months, excluding these dates.
Sometimes when I click on the map, the listing doesn’t show up properly, it glitches out and takes me to another.
The messages and notifications take about 5 app refreshes, closing, re-opening, refreshing to show up!
This sounds like something technically wrong on your end, because others haven’t been posting about such. Is your app updated to the latest version and is your device OS updated? How old is your device? Have you tried deleting and reloading your app? Are you using a strong internet signal?
I believe that I have seen that happen in the past.
When there is an issue with the mobile app, one can try reading one’s messages via the web interface (on desktop or via a web browser on one’s mobile phone).
I’ve seen some folks complain about getting messages on the app, but not as the OP has described. But yes, I basically don’t use the app, except to check for missing reviews for hosts, the only thing the website doesn’t offer. Frankly, I don’t know why people bother with the app otherwise. I rarely encounter problems with the website.
If the app works for you, great. Makes sense to stick with it then. Problem is, people have all sorts of devices, different platforms/OS, different versions of the app, etc. And many people don’t update apps or OS like they’re supposed to (goes well beyond THS), so often users are responsible for the problems.
No company, whether THS or even the best resourced ones in the world, can support all users, because of the high variability I mentioned.
Key thing is, if an app or platform isn’t working for you, have you tried to troubleshoot from your end first (unless it’s a problem that most others are struggling with). That’s faster and more efficient, because even if you get individual tech support (not likely with THS), they will just have you go through all the steps/questions I mentioned, for starters.
Personally, I’ve not found THS hard to use, whether website or app. To me, it’s either intuitive or I’ve easily troubleshooted or worked around things myself. No sweat.
BTW, often users on Android have problems. There are various flavors of it and so many devices, it’s inevitable that more problems will crop up. And people who aren’t technical struggle even more with Android in general.
Personally, I’ve owned Android and iOS and am technical enough to manage both well. But I ended up using primarily iOS, because I can get what I need or want done with nearly no effort with iOS vs. Android. But even with iOS, the user has to keep things updated, whether with apps or OS.
