@BonnyinBrighton tried to watch it last night, but we are logged into a Norwegian Netflix account, and the language options are Norwegian, Swedish, Danish or Finnish - no English! Will give it another go in a week or two in another country.

I have just finished watching Live Aid at 40: The Concert, on BBC iPlayer. I also remember watching this when it was aired 40 years ago on July 13th, 1985. :guitar::globe_showing_europe_africa:

I am currently enjoying watching the series Ballard on Prime Video. Detective Renée Ballard leads the LAPD’s new and underfunded cold case division which tackles the city’s long-forgotten crimes.

We’ve been watching Mobland (good but wouldn’t be as fab without Tom Hardy), Gangs of London (seriously bloody but pretty gripping if you like crime series and great cast), Dead to Me (black humour and very dry for a US series, one is better than two and Christina Applegate is hilarious). And then Mona Lisa Smile for a bit of old school humanity, such a great film even 30 years later. Julia Roberts can do no wrong (aka Erin Brokovich) Could do with some more recommendations please everyone? #filmaddicts

Recently finished watching The Pitt (HBO max) and latest season of The Bear (Hulu, Disney+). The latter is making me feel nostalgic about the food scene in Chicago - glad I was able to hit a lot of the spots featured in the show before the move.

Currently watching Squid Game season 3. Planning to catch up with The Sandman (Netflix), And Just Like That (HBO max).

I am currently watching Destination X on BBC iPlayer. Contestants assemble at Baden-Baden airport in Germany from where they are then transported via helicopter and a coach with blacked-out windows to various mysterious locations around Europe. At the end of each episode the contestants have to go to the “map room” and then indicate on the map with an X where they think they are. The person who is the farthest away then has to leave the game. There are 10 episodes and the 5th episode will be available tonight from 9pm BST.

@Sam_F

We are sticking with it but its not a patch on Race across the world’ To me, there are two glaring faults in the concept. 1- Why did they need to go to the expense of two purpose built buses? The contestants see hardly anything of their journey, and the viewers only get to see fleeting glimpses, they could have done a similar program with the contestants in one place and just given visual clues…IT Would have made more sense had they been allowed to spend a day at each destination. 2- I can’t understand the thinking behind not letting the viewers see where each contestant put there ‘X’, it feels as if the cliffhanger is never disclosed!
