We received an ( unsolicited ) invitation to sit at 9:34 am today .
It shows in the inbox on the webpage but 8 hours later it still hasn’t appeared in the inbox on the App.
Is there somewhere else I can look for it?
I mainly use the app - so would like to know where these invitations ( where the sitter hasn’t applied yet ) usually appear ?
That’s odd and janky. I usually get emails when I receive unsolicited invitations to sit. Are your notifications set up for such? Those are a good backstop if the app doesn’t work as it should.

Yes I have received the e-mail and that is the only reason I know that I have an invitation…but I would expect to also be able to see it somewhere in the app so I wondered if I am missing something ? …
I experienced the same as @Silversitters 2 days ago (unsolicited invite, not showing on the app but visible on website inbox). IIRC, I just sent a quick no thank you via the website.

Sounds like the app is malfunctioning. I rarely use the app, but when I looked at my archived messages on the app just now, I saw where I’ve declined unsolicited sit invitations among my archived messages, so I’m guessing that they should or would be showing up in the app inbox, if functioning normally.
(I basically use the app only to check hosts’ histories, to see whether any sitters didn’t leave them reviews.)

I have had this a few times on the app. I go into my inbox, pull the screen down a few times and a love heart appears to show its doing something (I’m not techie and have no idea what that’s actually called but you get my gist) . Any invites then usually appear.

They should be in your inbox. Have you tried to go there? Possibly refresh the page?
I only use the app, really. Never had any issues.

I haven’t had this, but when I’ve replied to invitations on the app, and then look online I can’t see my replies so then panic that I’ve been really rude.
I had a conversation with the help desk about it which got me nowhere!

Hi @Silversitters, sounds odd. We receive a steady trickle of unsolicited invitations. We typically receive iOS notification and invitation is present in the Inbox in iOS app. Suggest classic Tech 101 … check for app updates … close THS then reopen … if needed shutdown then restart mobile device. Hope appears shortly.

All seemed to be working properly just now. I saw an email for a direct invite. It was visible in my app inbox right away. FYI only
