On our latest road trip, we’ve seen some massive crows. The latest group we encountered, one had what looked like pizza in its beak. Judging by the size of those crows, I would lose my lunch to them. :joy:

This coming Sunday, in Madrid, sheep are driven through to the centre. It celebrates the festival of “Transhumancia”. Celebrating the tradition of moving cattle, sheep etc from the north to the warmer south for the winter months. This tradition of bringing sheep into Madrid was started 33 years ago.

That reminds me - time to get the woolly jumpers out!

I’m imagining folks chasing the sheep, looking for the right size potential for a jumper. :joy:

While we were on the road trip, we passed by this operation. This frame captured only maybe a fifth of it as we drove by quickly. Huge. We live near some small farmers and usually only see handfuls of cows, horses, llamas and such, not massive commercial operations like these.

1,400 sheep and 100 goats to choose from! As well as sheep dogs, oxen, horses, folkloric groups, cultural associations, ecologists travel through to Cibeles. The famous roundabout with a charioteer in the centre. When Real Madrid win anything important it’s the first spot to go and get a soaking!

Sounds like an amazing experience.

Like the last joke. Wine glass and everything.

Picture perfect landing … Geneva

Just a “regular” staircase in a five-story apartment building, leading to my host’s apartment. I could’ve easily missed it if I’d taken the elevator down.

Love the staircase and how people make a home for themselves. It would bring sunshine to me as a neighbor just passing it daily.

Tonight we went to a lighting ceremony at a nearby Japanese garden, which was recently updated and just reopened.

Stunning displays here! Thanks for sharing! In UK the storms have meant some lighting displays have been cancelled for safety reasons. Fountains Abbey was one.

My housesit with a rescued Beagle was particularly enjoyable but the dog was never allowed off the lead. I love to see dogs run free and swim! The owners just told me they had taken “Bizu” to the beach for the first time, armed with a long leash. The dog hadn’t gone crazy and immediately focused on a sniffathon! Oh well, they tried!
