Repeat sits are great. You know all the needs and likes of the pets, how the appliances work, shops in the neighbourhood and what you need to pack for a comfortable sit. It must be good for the HO too, not having to explain all the intricacies of the property and the pet. It’s a great way to build confidence if you are new to pet sitting. However loyalty has a drawback as you are not available to try new experiences. Amazingly several HO are booking us 2 sits in advance and checking our schedule before booking their flights. But in the second half of 2024 we are really going to try hard to try a sit not in Tasmania and make a holiday of it.

Hello. First time poster here but I’ve done 25+ sits now and many of them have been repeat sits. I definitely think they remember, especially dogs, and tbh I have some favourites that I will always care for when asked if I can make the date because they are so lovely.
I guess in part in depends on your circumstances and motivation but I like being invited back when it’s a sit I’ve enjoyed and I’m lucky to have had a lot of repeat requests. The welcome back wag is definitely real!
