Membership prices

This happened to me in May. No advance notification about the coming auto-renewal at all, and no notification, that the price would higher than the previous year.

I wrote an email to complain about it, and got an answer today, two months later.

They apologized (“an one-off issue”) and confirmed the price was indeed higher than the previous year, “to help THS to keep up wit the rising costs”.

I could choose to not continue with my membership and get a full refund.

I think THS not informing members about upcoming price increase in advance is very shady :face_with_monocle::grimacing:

I’m so sorry you were affected by this.

I checked this out with the team, and they confirmed that there was a technical issue affecting a small number of users, which has been resolved. Technical glitches aside, we always inform members with at least 30 days’ notice of any price changes.

The email that was sent out, along with the refund offer, was sent to anyone affected by the glitch.

While it’s definitely not what we’d want for any of our members, what happened is the exception, rather than the rule.

That being said, I’m sorry that you waited for so long for a reply as it must have been frustrating not knowing what had gone wrong.

Unfortunately the apology email doesn’t really help. I do not want to cancel my membership just yet, but if I’d known about the price increase before the auto-renewal, I would have chosen the lower membership tier. Which I can not do now.
