The post-sit feedback/review reminder e-mails

I finished a sit last Saturday the owner received a review request and I received a feedback request as per. Could you DM the details and I will pick up with the team.

Hi. Do you realize you can also DM her by clicking on her photo icon here and then there’s an envelope in the top right corner? I’m discovering shortcuts all the time here, so I thought you might not realize that. :slightly_smiling_face:

Hi @Smiley and others on this thread… (and thanks Angela for picking this up in my absence). Just to confirm that whilst the team are still trying to establish what’s causing the issue for sitters, it has been much discussed and investigated over the past week, but is proving a little difficult to recreate.

Good news is that it was tested and confirmed that owners are still getting their reminders (unless they’ve unsubscribed from email), so they will already have had that prompt in most all of cases.

We will update on this thread as soon as we hear back that the sitter problem has been fixed. Thanks for everyone’s continued patience.

I had been thinking that if I didn’t get a request by email to review a sit, that meant the sitter didn’t want me to. I searched a few times on the site to figure out how to leave feedback and finally I found it under ā€œFeedbackā€. I honestly skipped this category time and again because I figured it meant feedback to Trustedhousesitters themselves, not for the house sit! I think that naming should be changed for people to realize what it means. (and I also just completed 2 more sits and did not receive emails).

I have a HO’s review that I was planning to respond to but needed time to think about it. Now my option to respond is gone. Do we only get a limited time to reply?? I totally wanted to leave feedback for that Homeowner!? Thanks in advance for any input you can provide. Thank you!!:slightly_smiling_face:

Have you tried going to your profile and selecting Feedback or selecting Reviews? There are several options to the left. This is on a computer not the App. Not sure where it is on the App

I’m always on my iPad. Doing it on the phone app gives me problems as it’s more difficult to navigate. And yes, I went there….where it was before…under the ā€œfeedbackā€tab and all options are gone. Also checked the reviews tab….nada!:slightly_frowning_face:

it’s interesting to me, because I had a sitter that sat for us 4 times and we are now friends with. I requested a review from her on the 4th sit and she never posted one…now I wonder if the option went away. Plus I am noticing alot more sitters that are not leaving reviews, for what seem like wonderful housesits. Makes me wonder if something is going on with the website.

@Lizindesun There’s not a limited time to reply. I can still give feedback on sits I have done a couple of years ago. You could ask the HO to click Request Feedback for you then this would provide a link for you to do it.

Hi Peg. If you check the dates of the sits where there isn’t a review and they happen to be during times when the pandemic may have forced a cancellation, that’s likely the problem. If the sit was confirmed, the homeowner has to request that THS remove that entry.

Hi @Lizindesun - I’m not aware of any time limit, so as @temba says, (and has already kindly tagged Therese - thank-you), this will get picked up by support this morning and they will help you through this.

Hi @Lizindesun @temba @Peg @Snowbird @Vanessa_A Thank you for your posts. Just to confirm that reviews and feedback will never be deleted unless the sit was cancelled.
If a cancelled sit still reflects on the review/feedback tab, we can remove this on confirmation from both parties.
@Lizindesun I see you have 3 fabulous 5 star reviews and you have now managed to do the Feedback for all three now. Do remember, you can only see your feedback on your drop-down menu. It does not appear on your profile, it is only shown on the homeowners listing.
If however, you want to respond to your reviews … go to Reviews, open up the review, and reply to the Review … this is then show as a reply on your review. However, this feature is not really used for 5 star reviews.
@Peg Your friend and regular sitter can post reviews for each date set, so long as they are all confirmed on the platform. If you were able to send a request, it will be on her dashboard, so ask her to go to her dropdown menu and Reviews, Leave a Review. Do let me know if things are not working so I can then investigate and email you through membership services.
@provence Yes … we agree, the website is generally better to do these important things. Any review or feedback will register the date you posted it.

When I go my ā€œReviewā€ tab (as well as my ā€œfeedback tab) it says only ā€œRequest reviewā€ or under my Feedback tab it says ā€œrequest feedbackā€ it was my understanding that is where I could see my Feedback and respond to the homeowners review, which is what I’m trying to do, but Nothing is there.

Sorry everyone I found it. SO SORRY! I see it now. I’ll be more careful not to bother y’all next time! :roll_eyes: But I swear my option to reply to my reviews was not there yesterday! :crazy_face: Again, apologies!!
