Unable to cancel auto-renew (due to upcoming sit)

I was about to cancel the autorenewal (due April), but can’t as I have a sit booked for after that date.

I will probably upgrade to the premium level (yay, well done hyper-capitalists, you won), but will I be able to do that if I am stuck on autorenew?

Thanks

Hi @Rhe

Good question.

I’ve asked the team if they can let me know the answer to this, and I’ll pop back when I hear from them.

In the meantime it’d be good to hear from anyone that went through the same situation, and understand how it worked for them!

I have an update already! You can upgrade your membership any time, it doesn’t need to coincide with the renewal, and if you upgrade part way through a year, then the upgrade will be prorated.

Go to your member ship settings and you can “change plan “

BUT if you do that you won’t get the 50% off offer that members who cancel their membership have been getting . ( after cancellation to entice them back )

But there is no guarantee that you would get that same offer …

Hi @Jenny . Can you please find out if the same applies to downgrading? I want to go from Standard to Basic for the next year. I appreciate that.

@MaggieUU you can change it at anytime and when it auto renews you will be on the new tier that you have chosen .

Yes, that’s right. I did that during my first year of membership. When a host kept adding pets, I thought it was worth it to have the cancellation coverage.

To change your membership tier via the website:

  • Log in to your account with your email address and password via the website

  • From the Dropdown menu select ‘Settings’

  • Click ‘Edit’ next to ‘Membership’

  • Select ‘Change membership plan’

  • Choose your desired plan from either Premium, Standard or Basic -

  • Confirm your card details

To change your membership via the App:

  • Log into your account via the app

  • Go to Settings - Membership

  • Here you can choose your new desired plan from either Premium, Standard and Basic - Choose new plan

    • downgrading comes into effect on your renewal date - upgrading starts as soon as you pay the ( pro rata ) fee

I don’t think you can, there’s a message warning that you can do that at the end of your term.

Sorry. @Silversitters had already specified that.

So I guess we will need that confirmed @Jenny

I have edited my post and added screenshot. @Silversitters had already posted about this. I had missed it.
