Absolutely lovely @Shannon
how long are you staying there?
We leave in the morning. Moving up to the Champage region for a few days then over towards the Luxembourg border for a weeks sit then back south via Switzerland for a month sit. Didn’t quite plan it too well as the middle sit came first but figure what the heck, a month back on the south coast is worth the drive rather than heading back to the UK

Troy New York. Troy is an upstate NY small city. The city has brownstones like Brooklyn and parts of it look a lot like you could be in a neighborhood in NYC that is just a very long walk from the subway! (about 150 miles). (Troy stands in for old New York on The Gilded Age. When you see Central Park from Agnes’ block, it’s a greenscreen blocking the Hudson River. I know because I was here when the filmed the first season.)
The house we are sitting is about 2.5 miles from downtown. It’s suburban but feels pretty rural with the nearest house almost 1/4 mile down the the driveway which is more like a private road. Inside there are 7 cats. The sit is not for everyone, but we are having a blast here in “Catsby Manor.” The view is from the kitchen dining area.
Lovely easy sit for two shy housecats in a magazine-perfect home with a stunning Hudson River view a couple of hours and a world away from NYC. Feel so lucky to be here.
Our home and house sit property in the Peloponnese region of Greece. Distant Corinth off to the left, Athens is off screen to the right.
Just discovered this thread- 4 years in!! ![]()
Here is view this morning from our current sit in beautiful Exmouth in Devon, UK
Here is view of fresh snow from the window of my home. We often host sitters. It doesn’t snow here often. My view isn’t the typical NYC view of skyscrapers or Central Park as seen from a very high floor. But I think it’s “scenic” nevertheless.
Wow that’s ‘art’ ![]()
The sunset view off the balcony of my sit in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. My housemate is a gem and the weather is perfect (especially in comparison to my home in Canada). Happy days ![]()
