A log of cancellations for all sitters and owners that sits on profiles (unless they are extraordinary and have been proved).
The ability of owners to choose their number of applicants. 5, 10, 15 or limitless
The ability to search āanywhereā for a set date
to name a fewā¦
- number of sits canceled or sit cancelation percentage for both sitters and HOās
cleanliness rating - reply/communication ratings
- profiles that allow for couples
- background checks on HOs and an ability for sitters to rate HOs (Iāve heard some horror stories about HOs not disclosing information and homes being uninhabitable and the sitters have been stuck/not allowed to adjust or leave the sit without severe repercussions)
- checklist of mandatory information that should be provided by sitters as well as HOs for sits
- ability to sort/organise messages in the inbox by sit so that everything is all together
- ability to delete messages that are no longer needed (I canāt remove messages from my inbox if the sitter is no longer on the site so they just sit in my house inbox)
ability to set a saved search on location EUROPE
Regional searches; the ability to exclude countries/cities from a search; better faceted searching overall.
The ability to delete and organize messages.
@pitcherplant OMG yes!!!
I just tried that @Cuttlefish & it works (on the Website). Or am I misunderstanding?
Itās been broken in the iPhone app for a while. It used to work before the latest āenhancements.ā
Yes, but you donāt have the address when you are searching for sits, only after youāve confirmed. Or you can ask them after you apply. If I confirmed a sit thinking it was in one place, and it turned out it wasnāt there, Iād be pretty unhappy. (But that wouldnāt happen because I always ask for the location when I have my chat with the HO.)
It was recommended to me by the Moderator to post here regarding a bug that THS has been aware of for years and cannot (or will not) fix: Users outside GMT see incorrect dates & times of communications.
Please see this discussion: https://forum.trustedhousesitters.com/t/message-to-homeowner-doesnt-get-sent-right-away/6655/15
The product manager has not responded to repeated attempts to get information as to why this has not been fixed. @Ben-ProductManager @SophiaK
Your users are unhappy about how slowly issues are resolved. Not providing information, and limiting who we can discuss issues with, only serves to further degrade our trust in THS. This is the bigger problem and it deserves the attention of everyone there.
Completely agree with this one.
A feature I would like to see is for ALL of the listings that are reviewing come before any of the listings not looking for a sitter.
I would like to see it sorted this way instead of listings reviewing mixed randomly with the listings not looking. I guess itās not random but I donāt know why itās sorted this way.
I think there needs to be a place where sitters can place comments only visible to other sitters and vice versa. This will help eliminate the ā no review means bad experience ā. This will allow sitters to state things such as, home was very dirty upon arrival, etc.
Not all people are only sitters
and
Not all people are only HOs.
Plenty of folks have a combined membership.
I donāt think either group should be talking behind the othersā back like that.
Iād like the ability to delete Favorites on desktop as well as mobile. Iād also like a filter for number of pets, so I can weed out listings with 2 or 4 or 12 cats to look after. Just the one, please. Iāve got about 6 months left on my membership, so it would be cool to have an easier time of it in the unlikely event that I actually get to apply for a sit by being one of the lucky First 5.
I would like to hide listings I am not interested in, instead of seeing them over and over. Some of these are sits that have requirements I donāt meet .
@LIQ: I think you can delete favourites on desktop. And I usually use only desktop. Can you clarify?
@LIQ You CAN delete favourites on the desk top. Just go on your favourites list, open the one you want to get rid of. Somewhere at the top right of the page there is a button āmore optionsā click there and you can āunfavouriteā the sit. Iām writing this on the phone app so am going from memory but it should be like that, or very close- youāll figure it out! You can also just go directly on the listing itself and unclick the heart- same as on the app.
