I heard about THS years ago, but just joined this year. I’ve done nine sits since March. That’s all I’ll do this year, out of choice.
I could sit a lot, because I telecommute and have a lot of control over my schedule. But how much I actually do depends on my mood. I don’t book far ahead.
Colonial Williamsburg, in the U.S. state of Virginia. We were just there.
Highly recommend visiting the historic triangle, which includes Jamestown and Yorktown. The region is where the British first colonized America.
The sights are amazing if you enjoy history and beautiful grounds. Colonial Williamsburg has hundreds of houses from that time and streets are laid out so you can experience life back in the day. The guides and re-enactors know their history well and answer all sorts of questions.
Fall colors on the way there go for hundreds of miles. And at Christmas, they decorate the sights, so it’s picturesque.
The last of fall foliage, in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. We visited the town and battlefield, the site of the turning point in the U.S. Civil War. It was the 160th anniversary of President Abraham Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address.
From when we lived in the Portland area a few years ago, the state of Oregon, in the U.S. Pacific Northwest. This photo collage resurfaced as a Facebook memory.
Hi @Samox24 Neuschwanstein is a sight for sore eyes. I didn’t visit Hohenschwangau Castle but snapped a few photos of it. Schwangau is a lovely town with lots of good food. I wandering along the Alpsee lake taking in the sights and fresh air.
